Golden Lane

A shortlisted competition entry that provided a new educational campus brings three schools together – a children’s centre for 180 pupils, a special school for 30 severely disabled children and a 360 place primary school – into a single complex. We based our design on the idea of a collegiate plan focused on a large courtyard that provides a safe place – one that unites the three schools – whilst the building simultaneously responds to the urban context as it meets the streets. The design has been produced in association with Prof. Sir Colin Stansfield Smith.
