Located on the fifth floor of a 1950’s block, overlooking Regents Park, this refurbishment stripped out all internal walls leaving the concrete frame, thus generating a completely new plan arrangement that added a new bedroom and allowed the living area to occupy the entire frontage onto the park. The problem of a fire lobby was resolved by a fire resisting glass screen allowing the kitchen to engage the hallway. The use of colour, built-in furniture and a centerpiece rug created by Helen Yardley, resulted in a rich, yet contemporary living space built well within budget.
