Lymington Courtyard

The design proposes six, two bedroom courtyard houses, in two parallel blocks. By splitting the design into two forms, the design respects the building line towards street, as well as creating a public open space at the heart of the scheme. The design is conceived as a series of masonry walls providing ground floor enclosure that continues externally to enclose courtyard gardens. The first floor is a cedar clad, timber construction resting on deep beams spanning the width of the lower ground floor walls that allows for clerestory glazing to the ground spaces.
