Working in association with HKR Architects, JPA won a limited competition for the design of a group of 400 condominiums on the famous Florida golf course at Sawgrass. Clustered into four finger-like clusters stretching towards the lake, the buildings are largely three-storey, clad in western red cedar expressed as a series of interlocking, wrapping planes, sheltered beneath floating and over-sailing roofs. The intention is to create a clean and contemporary architecture that contrasts and complements the omnipresent nature of grass, trees and water that makes up the golf course.
