Trewarren wins RIBA Award 2013

Trewarren has received a 2013 RIBA Welsh Architecture Award. The awards committee said of the project:

The house sits well in in its setting, combining modesty with an assured presence. The pitched roof over the living spaces complements well the simple orthogonal geometry of the plan, bringing character as well as north light to the interiors and elegance to the building with its overhanging eaves and sharp roof profile.  The immaculately detailed exposed iroko timber frame is a joy and the perfect offset to the full-height sliding glazed screens that face the view. The detailing throughout is very well considered and executed
