Phillips House Consented

21 March 2019

Contemporary Architecture One off Houses Phillips House 01 jpa

JPA has secured consent for a replacement dwelling on the banks of the River Tamar. The site is located at Weir Quay, a former dock for the lead and silver mines, some 10km up the estuary from Plymouth.

Our proposal replaced a 1970's 'pre-fab' house, and the concept for this contemporary house is based on the idea of a green-oak framed pavilion. It seeks to have a low impact upon its site - raised up on stilts to avoid predicted flood levels.

Work is set to start on site late 2019.
