Modern Conservation
Beginning with the complete renovation and extension of Basil Spence’s own house on the Beaulieu River in 2000, our interest and expertise in ‘modern conservation’ - conserving and reviving great, often listed, 20th century buildings – has burgeoned.
Ranging from the restoration of Marcel Breuer’s classic Sea Lane House from 1936 near Littlehampton to the conversion of a collection of Grade II listed former sixth form college buildings in St Albans into residential use, we always bring a passion for these structures together with an understanding of their history and architectural contribution to create new life for these buildings.
Our work in modern conservation embraces houses, schools, universities and large-scale residential conversions.
